BACAB Eco-Park 2009
Young Ecologist Adventure Bush Camp
Maximum Participants per group is 20, minimum is 8
Cost per week: $465.00 per person
Camp organizers to provide: Transportation to Bacab from Belize City, accommodations in tents, 3 meals daily, access to pool daily, Activities(horseback riding, kayaking, bikes, nature walks) with guides and Tropical Ecology Instructor, guest lecturers, Art and Crafts materials.

Participants to bring:
Clothing - 2 or 3 pairs of long pants (lightweight, light-colored – mosquitos like dark clothing-, loose-fitting is best for bushwear)
2 or 3 long-sleeved shirts (same as above)
2 or 3 pairs short pants
2 or 3 t-shirts and tank tops
7 – 8 sets of underwear (cotton ones are better for long hikes)
1 or 2 sets of swimwear (full body or tankinis for girls)
1 pair rubber boots, 1 pair waterproof sandals, sneakers
Several pairs of cotton socks, sweatbands or bandanas, wide-brimmed hat or cap with visor, sarong
Personal items – Toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo and soap, hairbrush or comb, mosquito repellant and sunscreen
If you require daily medication, wear contact lenses or have allergies, please bring enough for your one - week stay.
ALSO BRING – one small sturdy notebook to be used as a journal to document your trip, 2 pens, 1 pencil, phone card(participants will call home daily at a specified time), Sleeping Bag or Pad, 2 towels, 2 flat sheets, 1pillow, headlamp or small flashlight, re-usable water bottle, backpack, 6 small ziplock bags, 2 or 3 garbage bags AND A Great attitude – as much as possible, Spirit of adventure – unlimited amount
NOTE: If you play a musical instrument that is easy to transport, you are welcome to bring it along (flute, harmonica, guitar – no baby grand pianos, please)

Excessive amount of luggage, please limit suitcase size to what you can carry as you will be carrying your own bags. Only bring items in above list.
Electronics – I-pods, game cubes, game boys, CD players etc. – this is an opportunity to listen to the sounds of nature; Blow dryers or other electrical gadgets. AND most of all, DO NOT bring a Negative attitude
NO CIGARETTES, DRUGS, ALCOHOL, KNIVES OR GUNS – Anyone found in possession of any of these items will be sent home immediately.
