Bacab Eco Park is a family run tourist resort in Belize that is in close proximity to Belize City and closer yet (10 mins.) to the International Airport. We offer unique jungle activities suitable for all ages and in the very near future will also be offering over-night accommodations.
So, if you have made travel deals to come to Belize or will be staying in San Pedro, Caye Caulker or other resorts near to Belize City or will be arriving via cruise ship, come on down let us share with you our lush jungle, wildlife and our fabulous tour guides and staff.
For our cruise ship guests, some of our tours are sold on board your cruise ship. Check with them, they can offer you safe transportation and guarantee you the tour of your choosing.
Each tour is about one (1) hour and was carefully planned so that guests of all ages and experiences could enjoy these tours. For our over-night guests, length of tour could be adjusted upward if desired.
We also offer night tours on request but there is a minimum. Lockers to safely store your items are also made available to all our guests.
Remember, bring tennis shoes, shorts or jeans (for the horseback tour and nature walk), bug spray, sunblock, towels, swim suits and a camera. However, if you forget something, no need to worry, Maluna, our full service gift shop, will have some. Might not be your brand, but they will have some.
Bacab Eco Park is an ecologically friendly destination; all animals run freely and are not caged. If you do see any caged it is because we are hosting an injured or orphaned animal to be released sometime in the future. Our tours takes you through pristine jungle where they live and you may be fortunate enough to view some depending on factors such as, winter migration, weather, seasonal fruits, time of day, nocturnal or not.
After each tour if you're feeling hungry, thirsty or just want to relax, head on over to our "Pokonobwai Restaurant & Bar" where you can enjoy a meal, drinks and good conversations while overlooking our pond filled with lily pads and local river fish. On occasion you might see our resident hawk catch a fish or just hanging out catching some sun.
If catching some sun is what you wanted to do our swimming pool and lounge chairs are just what the doctor ordered. Our pool is one of the largest in Belize and surrounded by jungle. It has a kids section that's shallow (2 ft.) and has a mushroom fountain that the kids absolutely love. For the teenagers there is larger pool 4 ft deep, a sculptured waterfall and water slide.
Among other activities we have Camping Grounds for over night Camping and soon to come, accommodations and RV Parking. We also have a Conference room and we do Weddings, Office Parties, Birthday Parties and Private Parties.
